Pete's Bathroom Rankings Privacy Policy
Short version: You can use Pete's Bathroom Rankings without signing in. If you sign in with Google or X, we store your account details on our servers. Restroom listings and ratings are public data on our servers. We don’t run ads or analytics trackers like PostHog, and we don’t track you across other apps.
Who we are
Pete's Bathroom Rankings is made by HUMAN RESOURCES ON DEMAND INC., a New York corporation (“we”), publishing as Puggle Monster Studios.
Optional sign-in (Google or X)
Sign-in is optional. When it is on, you sign in through Google or X (OAuth). We use an auth service (Better Auth via the Grok auth broker). We do not offer email/password accounts.
If you sign in, these account fields can be stored in our user database (server Postgres): your email, name, a user id, and your profile image (if the provider sends one), plus OAuth tokens needed to keep the session. Session records may also keep an IP address and user agent for security.
We use that account data to keep you signed in and to run the app (App Functionality). We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Restrooms and ratings (public server data)
Restroom listings and ratings are stored on our servers as public rows. They are not only on your device. Anyone using the app can see public listings and ratings. Local storage on your device is used for things like write-brakes / local UI state — it is not a private cloud of your rankings.
Location (pin city lookup)
When you pin or look up a place, the app may send your pin’s latitude and longitude to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to resolve a city/place name. That request goes to Nominatim (a third party). We use it only to label the place in the app. We don’t use location to track you across apps. See Nominatim’s own policy for how they handle requests.
What we don’t do
- No PostHog or similar product-analytics SDK.
- No ads, no data brokers, no tracking across other apps or websites for advertising.
- No email/password passwords stored by us (OAuth only).
Your choices
Don’t sign in if you prefer not to create a server account. You can still use public listings subject to how the app works when signed out.
Delete account / data: There is no confirmed in-app account-delete button in the materials we reviewed. Email support@pugglemonster.com and ask us to delete your account and associated server data. We’ll need the email you signed in with. Public restroom ratings you already posted may remain as public content unless you ask us to remove specific entries and we can identify them — flag this when you write.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, delete or object. Contact us to use them.
Children
Pete's Bathroom Rankings is a general-audience app. It isn’t directed at children under 13. Don’t create an account for a child under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and the app’s listing.
